The history of R E Jones Ltd. The Welsh catering business that grew during the late 1900’s and developed into the UK’s leading hospitality group early 20th century. 

The Rembrandt Hotel and Rooms, London 

R E Jones Ltd issued a rights offer in 1920; they had acquired additional property which had been suspended during the Great War 1914-1918 but resumed upon signing after Armistice, a number of premises across London which included the Rembrandt Hotel.

Hotel Rembrandt and Rooms

The picture above was taken possibly early 1920s.

The Rembrandt was one of several hotels in the RE Jones Ltd portfolio which remained until 1961 when it was purchased by a private bidder along with the Rubens.
